We go one step further

About Artisan Training Foundation (ATF)

The Artisan Training Foundation (ATF) builds on the proven success of the Artisan Training Institute’s (ATI) donor-funded programme, which has thrived through generous partnerships with national and international funders over the past decade.
As the officially UN-recognized technical skills training provider in Gauteng’s Regional Centre of Expertise, ATI has trained over 22,000 artisans across its centres in Roodepoort, Kimberley, and Port Shepstone.

Thanks to the committed support of visionary donors, including the Mastercard Foundation, Harambee Youth Accelerator, TISO Foundation, Standard Bank Tutuwa Community Foundation, Aveng, Bell Equipment, and many others, the programme (now led by ATF) has successfully empowered more than 1,600 young people with life-changing artisan skills.

Your investment has made and continues to make a profound difference in building skilled, employable futures for South Africa’s youth.

What we do

Building futures demands bold new thinking and unwavering commitment. It starts with directing resources where they truly matter and ends with empowering young people to transform their lives and the world around them.

The Artisan Training Foundation (ATF) is actively building a wide network of partnerships to unlock greater funding for high-quality vocational training in trades where industry urgently needs skilled talent.

With your support, young South Africans don’t just survive, they thrive. We connect them to meaningful careers by delivering demand-driven training that equips them with relevant, marketable skills for lasting success.

We do this innovatively, transparently, cost-effectively, and sustainably ensuring every investment creates maximum, measurable impact.

Together, we’re not just training artisans. We’re building winning futures.
